i love the diversity in the mae fandom. general superfam & supergirls fans, lindamae fans, supergirl (1996) stans and haters, people who grew up with mae/lindamae as their first supergirl, maekon fans… i could talk to a fellow mae fan and have a completely different understanding of her character

i love them they’re so siblings. there’s a scene in the roger stern novelisation of the death of superman where clark worries over seeming like an overprotective big brother and it’s like it’s too late. that’s already your dynamic
I much prefer the relationship Superman had with Matrix Supergirl, over the one he had and still had with Kara, whenever writers remember that they’re actual cousins and family.

today is the anniversary of action comics #644. this issue happened during matrix’s psychotic episode & deals with the shock and trauma she experienced during her origin arc. her idolisation of clark continues throughout it, but she grows from emulating his violence to mimicking his healing journey

being constantly reminded that the only thing people like about matrix supergirl is the run where she’s severely mischaracterised and turned into a pawn for david’s religious story and political beliefs is truly enraging sometimes like do you guys even know what her story was from before that run
