Israel's far-right finance minister Bezalel Smotrich told a conference of Israeli settlers that Gaza's population of over 2.1 million should be drastically reduced. Smotrich has called for Israel to annex the West Bank and Gaza Strip and for new large Israeli settlements to be established.
