Hundreds of municipal buildings in #yeg face high climate-related risks, according to a report I obtained via FOIP.

More wildfires, droughts and extreme weather events could lead to buildings needing repairs or replacements earlier and increased costs for the city.

City of Edmonton says starting July 1, no more photo radar in playground zones. Press release says because of provincial restrictions, continuing enforcement is "no longer financially sustainable."

City says it's redirecting resources into "physical upgrades" and "creative solutions."

The Alberta government set out to get rid of 70% of photo radar locations in the province. In response, some cities and towns have scrapped automated enforcement altogether.
