Hey folks, this song was inspired by a letter written by two Canadians during WWII. They were the parents of Rob Horgan. He decided to make available to artists the 300 letters written between his grandparents during the war.

Just a reminder for all the venues. You think you’re paying the musicians properly, but you’re not. Join in and get on the right side of history because change is coming.

The Not Forgotten is a song that I wrote about the WWI Tommy statue that sits atop many Canadian cenotaphs.
The Not Forgotten is on my album, Folk From Home. You can hear it on Bandcamp.

Very thankful to my wife & family for their unwavering support ❤️, to Eric at CC for that first gig & to You for coming along on this journey.
This ride ain't over yet.
Feeling Grateful, 🙏

I’m releasing a song that will be part of The November Project Canada. It all started with a letter written between a young couple during WWII. My father was a Canadian military veteran during the second war my grandfather was a veteran of the first. This is for them and those who continue to serve.

Dear Venue Person,
Can you PLEASE take 2 minutes and write a reply back to us?
If you are advertising live music, expect queries.
Do them the basic courtesy of responding.
I remember the days of having to call, mail, fax queries to venues. I almost always got a call back.
We're all busy. Do better.

Yesterday, I finished a new song. I wrote it.
Now here’s the cool part:
There are only 2 humans on this entire planet who have heard it. My wife & I.
It's a kind of exciting musical secret.
For now, it's ours.
I can't wait to share it with you.
It will be on my new album.

This saddens me.
That’s basically what it is going to be it in terms of making music..rich kids. The music industry is not a place you can earn a living any longer.
It wouldn't be so annoying that only the rich kids get to make movies and music if it wasn't so boring. Rich kids simply have nothing to say. Have you sat through the comedy? Just saying nothing! The observation is even so bland. No POV, just beautiful cinematography.

📢 We ALL must change the way of today's working musicians, live & physical music. Its current state is unsustainable.
We are all going to be left with 'white bread'.

Here's my version of the song, 'Thanksgiving Prayer'.
It was written by Josef Anderson. The version that I heard many years ago was performed by Johnny Cash in 1994.
It is still a favourite of mine this time of year.
You can watch it on my YouTube channel.
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃😊

Thanksgiving weekend 🇨🇦 sure crept up on me this year.
As I get older, I do find myself becoming even more aware, more grateful, and more appreciative of the people, experiences, and things around me.
Enjoy.
Happy Thanksgiving to You & Yours! 🦃😊🍂

That's it for the 2 Northern Troubadours! What a great time we had with Will Gillespie performing throughout Northern Ontario. The people of this area are a great community; true Canadians and always there to help. Thank you to all who attended. We love you all and thank you!
