The top sign is recently added, indicating a clearway for New Years Eve 2025. The bottom sign shows how to pay the parking fee, it has s series of numbers showing the zone number needed to pay by phone. No parking metres for this council.

From my archives as the garden is still wilting from Friday's 42.6°C (108.6°F), and the heatwave caused by the sudden stratospheric heat spike that had a knock-on effect on the polar vortex causing westerly winds to spread northwards. Science on a Sunday.

Round here the noisy miners see a larger bird and manage a few dives and the occasional swoop accompanied by a squawk or two, then they're off up the street.

Lots of dark low rumbling thunder, some lightning, and these clouds. Then about five minutes of gentle rain, just enough for petrichor. Most of the storm missed me.

Currently 38.7°C (101.66 °F), too hot to go out and take photos today. Poked my head outside and saw this, so maybe there will be a storm later.

Three bands from back when I had to be home when the street lights came on. Two played at the 2SM Concert of the Decade at the Sydney Opera House, November 1979. Can't remember where I told my mother I was going that day as I was 13 at the time.

I have many photos of pelicans around the Pelican Spot at Woy Woy. I'd stay with friends and in the late afternoon we'd go for a walk by the water
