The League of Women Voters of the United States today announced the formation of the Unite and Rise 8.5 Advisory Committee, a diverse group of leaders from across sectors who will provide strategic counsel and elevate the campaign’s mission to protect and strengthen democracy through partnership.

Donald Trump ran on an anti-war platform. By striking Iran, he endangers Americans abroad and US service members. This escalation without congressional approval puts the US into another war that the majority of Americans oppose. It is another sign of this administration’s authoritarian tendencies.
