They’re painted on. 3, He picks up the only sheet of music on the piano, notes slowly appearing around his head. 4, A close up of his eyes closed, music notes highlighted in the dark, his face aged. 5, His eyes open slowly, music notes still around him, but he has his vallaslin again, he’s younger again. 6, Miranin in an elegant tabard on the balcony at Halamshiral. His hair is done up, he’s smiling. A memory. 7, a hand grabs his waist from behind “!” 8, Miranin looks, confused. 9, Solas smiled at him as Miranin grins, holding each other. 1, The lines of music in white swirl behind Solas leading Miranin in a dance as they talk about everything and nothing, Miranin can’t remember now. 2, The white lines of music turn back to black against the darkness, a closeup of Miranin’s tearing eyes, still closed. He’s as he is now, with painted vallaslin and some wrinkles. Abruptly, “Inquisitor?” 3, Miranin in the present seems caught off guard, “?” 4, Two elves come in (Rooks: Athven(Rook) with vallaslin and dark hair, Kalais with a crow mask tattoo and scars). “Everything alright?” Rook asks. 5, in the same pose as Athven and Kalais, a faded Miranin and Solas. Miranin’s young cousin and his not-partner remind him of how they were during the inquisition. Miranin wipes a tear. 6, “Yes.” Miranin smiles, hand on hip. The sheet of music is placed back on the piano. 7, “Only remembering another time.” Miranin’s hand is visible on the doorway as he follows Rook out. Behind him, in the empty music room, there is a faded image of Miranin as he is now, dancing with Solas again. His face is bare this time, no vallaslin and no paint. They’re both smiling.

Miranin, leaning into a hand cupping his face, distraught. 1. “Never for long.” Miranin’s removed arm, blackened from the anchor up his arm 2. “You always come.” Miranin sleeping on the chest of presumably Solas, somewhere in the forest. 3. “For a moment…” Miranin’s eyes slowly open 4. “I can almost feel the real you there.” Miranin sitting up alone, left arm amputated and surrounded by wisps in the trees. 5. “The person I believe you are.” What Miranin must have been looking at, a giant black dread wolf looking on at him in the trees. 6. “The you..” Miranin closes his eyes, smiling and sighing. 7. “…I’ll keep searching for.” Miranin pushing himself up to his feet, as if to follow 8. “Banal nadas. Ar lath ma, vhenan.” A hart chases after the dread wolf as he runs through the trees. There is no fate but the love we share.

Cicaro, I am… not good with words or feelings. I don’t even know why I’m trying to write this. We’re not… I’m not… Fucking void. Look. I want you to know that I appreciate you. Your presence and your affections. Spending time with you is one of the few joys I have, so I do it as often as I can, hoping that I won’t get annoying or too clingy. I know we both struggle with trusting other people. We’ve both been burned pretty badly and that makes it hard to let someone in. So thank you for letting me be one of the people you let in. I will forever be grateful that I checked up on you after everything and that I intercepted that candlehop. It has led to one of the most enjoyable things in my life. Strange that something so good can come from such tragic beginnings. Anyway, that’s enough vulnerability for the day. I lo(scratched out) Cheers, Vanya
