Norwegian living in Scotland.
I sew, alter and mend my clothes.
Trying to be a good feminist, environmentalist and human being.
I whipped up the easiest pair of trousers the other day. Took me less than an hour, that’s how simple they are. And I love the cotton gingham fabric. Feels so light and breezy perfect for the sunny weather we’ve been having.

Another Aspen dress complete! I couldn’t resist this tropical banana denim, also by #fabricgodmother. I shortened the sleeves and skirt length, otherwise no changes. Can’t get enough of this sewing pattern, it comes together so well!

Another #fgaspen in the making. How could I resist the bananas?! 🍌

Finally got some photos of the Aspen dress by #fabricgodmother. I love it so much! Navy corduroy bought at Edinburgh Fabrics. One of the best fabric shops I know.

I finally have my machine back and she’s in better shape than ever. Have been dying to start on the Aspen dress so that’s what I’m doing today.

My sewing machine is in for service. I’ve officially completed 2/3 goals for Feb. Ngl, I’m feeling pretty smug about it.

My entry for #sewskychallenge2025 and I’m so extra I’m posting this on Valentine’s Day. I do love a theme.

The pattern is of course the popular #patinablouse from #FridayPatternCompany, and I made no alterations.

I bought the fabric from #Heysewsister, my fave online shop.

Almost there with the Patina blouse. It’s a great project, I’ve really enjoyed sewing it up, and the fit seems to be bang on.

Made a bit of progress with the Patina blouse. I finally tackled the sleeve slit placket and my god was it a battle! But I persevered and succeeded. Coming up, all the fun bits of attaching the sleeves, sewing the sides and add on the cuffs.

Sewing goals for February:
✔️Finish the Patina blouse #sewskychallenge
✔️Tidy my fabric stash and donate to #destashforpalestine
✔️Get my sewing machine in for service.

My toxic trait is seeing a new sewing pattern release and thinking I can easily just draft it myself and thus magically save all the time and effort and energy.

Please bluesky, give us an edit button🙏. It's early and I just installed a new keyboard. I need all the help I can get

I accidentally ordered an industrial sized roll of tracing paper. It’s taller than my child. Explains the high transport cost, shipped in a lorry.

My Scottish Frocktail dress last year. Who am I to resist all the bows?! 🎀🎀🎀

My latest WIP. I finally jumped on the Patina blouse bandwagon and I can see why it’s so popular. So far it’s been a hoot!

One of my favourite makes lately. I shamelessly copied the Vogue V1723 dress pattern by Frankensteining different sewing patterns I already had. Shocked it actually worked!

I bought the fabric from Minerva. It’s a metallic brocade aka plastic. Will be sure to give it lots of wears for years+++.

Hello! I’m Louise and I like to make stuff.

I sewed this wrap dress a long time ago, and I still love it and wear it.

I bought this beautiful fabric from Hey Sew Sister. Her online fabric shop is amazing! The sewing pattern is from the Norwegian brand Fæbrik. They are also amazing!
