Gratitude, at the very least, feels like kindness. I offered thanks to our holiday tree this year as I set it out for the local Boy Scout troop to recycle. Maybe it’s not enough. But I think I’m a better human for it. Hopefully the world is then better, too. #grateful #gratitude #littlethings

My not having coffee yet this morning is interfering with my ability to achieve having coffee. zzzzz. It's hard to get out of the chair to go do the thing that makes coffee appear in the kitchen. This is the first coffee I had this year on Jan 1, this photo. With South African rusks.

New year, new jar of salsa.
:p Seriously though, lots of thinking and planning for this year. Last year was rough. Dad dying, body getting a smidge more creaky, son one year closer to leaving the nest....

I mentioned soldering in a previous post. I'm a metalsmith, of the jeweler variety. Shiny things, magpie things. Art glass pieces I make myself. I just like sharing what I find beautiful, unique, interesting. Places I want to be or live (shrink ray!) And that includes jewelry, mine and others.
