I've talked a lot about it on twt but basically the alters are only fleshed out in the beginning bc they want the audience to not know. And the headspace we see is just so they can add a "fantastical" element. Also the show treats Danny like the bad guy through the way they show him.
just about finished w the crowded room and yeah it's problematic and a badly written show. It should really have a warning at the beginning of episodes that everything discussed about DID is dated
