Having had the pleasure of reading many iterations of this book, I can attest that it’s fabulous! @athenais.bsky.social illuminates many ways the law treats those at the high- and low-end of the wealth spectrum differently and, in doing so, teaches us new things abt the architecture of inequality.
It feels weird, but I'm excited to say I just submitted all the chapters of my forthcoming book for first edits 🤩. It's about family money, wealth management, and poverty governance (surprise!). It's about systems of extraction and generational wealth. It's about laws, geographies, and narratives.

Every year, when I teach civil rights litigation, my students are confronted with & confront me questions about what civil rights suits can actually accomplish. This essay is my answer. It's a very early draft & I'd welcome your suggestions, additions & stories.
