Being a "SMALL INDEPENDENT TEAM" should not be an excuse we accept when it comes to using AI in game development. I would much rather see people open MS Paint and draw doodles there than see awful AI generated mascots shoved down my throat.

Keep drawing what you enjoy and your audience will self regulate. A smaller following who love your work 100% of the time is so much better than a larger audience who only likes half of it. Numbers are meaningless. Connecting with people over shared interests is fulfilling. Just keep being you.
