Together with Piotr and in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Science, we are hosting a panel on conflict-related sexual violence, with a focus on the DRC.

This blog draws on international law to answer a question I am often asked: how does the war in eastern DRC differ from other conflicts around the world?

Trump sanctioned ICC officials in 2020. Biden lifted them, but they’re back in 2025 after warrants against Israeli leaders. Targeting a court, not a state, raises big questions for legality, independence and the future of international law.
