I feel like a career in music for me has meant a pendulum that swings between gigging, recording, teaching, composing, producing, etc. I’m thankful that no matter how the pendulum swings, I’ve been able to stay busy doing what I love and getting paid for it

I got pretty burned out teaching private lessons during the pandemic and the years that followed it, so I took a step away for a bit and went to grad school. I started taking just a few students on last year, and it’s been a lot of fun!

Been having some weird issues where one track in a session would randomly get cut off every time I bounced… turns out I just forgot to finish authorizing a plugin when I setup my new computer 🙃

Been trying for a couple weeks to make a good cup of French press coffee - adjusted the coffee to water ratio, steeping time, water temp, but couldn’t get a result I was happy with. I finally just bought a new bag of coffee and it immediately tastes amazing 🙃

Soo seems like Soundrop is just… dead? Anyone have any other music distributors they like that handle covers? I was a fan of Soundrop’s pay-per-song model instead of a yearly subscription, but now they’re just not distributing my release or dispersing royalties 🙃

This is great! Instead of holding back and creating an unsatisfying climactic moment, just keep raising the musical stakes
one of the funny challenges i always give myself when writing game scores is that every climactic moment should feel like the final boss, so that when you have to make something even BIGGER, you have to redefine what that means for the score & where the emotional ceiling is
