Another 🇺🇸 step to impose unjustified #tariffs - 25% on cars, incl 🇪🇺. We understood the Trump doctrine: slap tariffs & enjoy the free fall of economies. #Slovak car industry makes 13% GDP w/ major US exports. We don’t want or start trade wars, but #EU must react & stay united.

Kicked off the day with EVP Raffaele Fitto discussing the mid-term review of the #cohesion policy programmes. We focused on making #EU 🇪🇺 funds more accessible and ensuring #regions can use them more efficiently. Direct access to local & regional authorities remains a priority.

Great meeting w/ StateSecretary Jan Szyszko. We discussed the plans of #Polan2025EU on the mid-term review & the future of the #CohesionPolicy. It needs to be reformed, but safeguarded for long term investments. We need to keep it closer to our regions & citizens, not further away.
