As the deer ate grass on the hill I snapped a quick photo. I did not approach too closely as I had two big dogs with me and didn’t want to scare them.

Saw and heard three baby woodpeckers making the coolest noises yesterday. They were perched fairly high up on a palm tree trunk - with white stripes on them. They were under the owl box someone had put on the tree. Wonder if they were born in the box; are they coexisting? We can Learn from nature!
