The message is: crowd large.

Many politicians, administrators, and business leaders, in bowing to Trump, have drawn confidence and comfort from the perceived vibe shift.

Events like this puncture that delusion.
You can stop asking where the mass opposition is. It's everywhere.
People poured out to protest not only what Trump has done—and what they fear he will do next.

How often does the description “makes careless mistakes” define a student, even when their work is otherwise thoughtful and insightful?

Leave it to our artists and creators to remind us that we WILL keep moving towards a more equitable society, one which embraces the beauty and uniqueness of our diversity.

Don’t forget to take breaks. Find an old album you haven’t heard for so long, you forgot how awesome it is. Then listen to it loud while you dance or go for a walk. Let it refill your soul and help you remember your joy.

My rediscovery for the day was The Lion and The Cobra by Sinéad O’Conner.

@sophiabollag.bsky.social For those of us who live in the Richmond/El Sobrante hills, your 1/18 article about fire risks in Orinda/Moraga prompts a timely discussion.
Shouldn’t the state be providing additional fire-hardening funding to nearby communities who don’t otherwise have the resources?

Nametags are great - until you realize you’re still wearing one, which must be why the cashier, along with every person in San Francisco, now knows your name.

Last night at 3:15am, my phone buzzed as a man’s voice boomed, “THIS IS THE EARTHQUAKE WARNING SYSTEM.” There was a pause, long enough for me to bolt upright as my body surged with adrenaline, my head scrambling awake, trying to remember where I’d put my shoes. Then it added, “this is a test.”
