Landed at JFK from an international flight. We were delayed deplaning, then there are no bathrooms until after passport check—which for non-US citizens was estimated at over an hour. What an insulting welcome to the US.

Things I believe: if you are on a daytime flight (daytime in both departure and arrival location) even if the lights are down, you have every right to keep your shade up to help alleviate your jet lag or look out the window. If you want to sleep, your right is to cover your eyes.
