Cancer drug Revlimid is one of the bestselling pharmaceutical products of all time, with total sales of over $100 billion.

It’s also extraordinarily expensive, costing nearly $1,000 for each pill, even though that pill costs just 25 cents to make.

The Price of Remission: This Cancer Drug Saves Lives — but Costs a Fortune. I Wanted to Know Why.
When I was diagnosed with cancer, I set out to understand why a single pill of Revlimid cost the same as a new iPhone. I’ve covered high drug prices as a reporter for years. What I discovered shocked ...

While campaigning for New Jersey Democratic gubernatorial candidate Rep. Mikie Sherrill, former President Barack Obama had a playful exchange after being interrupted by an excited supporter. "I mean, you look cute. But I am married. Michelle's fine too," Obama joked.

Ordering in is, and never will be the same as a dining out experience. Food doesn’t taste nearly as good and the service, well that’s now on you. If this has become a thing, I think it is REALLY dumb. you should mostly cook at home which is even better ( and less expensive) if you’re up to it.
Food delivery was a convenience, until it became a lifestyle. Now America is a nation of order-inners—and it’s destroying restaurants as we once knew them, @elcush.bsky.social argues: https://theatln.tc/SghPaI1R

“Trump is destroying democratic norms. Democrats have decided to follow him into the basement,” our columnist David Brooks writes. “When both parties cooperate to degrade public morality, then nobody even notices as it’s happening.”
Opinion | The Death of Democracy Is Happening Within You
Yes, Trump is assaulting democracy, but what worries me more is what has happened to the rest of us — the loss of the convictions and norms that undergird democracy.

Cutting food aid to Americans while bailing out Argentina is NOT America First. And never will be.
ProPublica obtained records from the Department of Agriculture that detail the 94 million pounds of food, down to the number of eggs, that never reached food banks because of the #Trump administration’s cuts to The Emergency Food Assistance Program.

President Trump threatened to cut off federal funding to New York City if front-runner Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor.

Mamdani needs the money “to fulfill all of his FAKE Communist promises,” Trump wrote of the democratic socialist.

The front-runner faces a field of opponents led by former New York governor Andrew M. Cuomo, a Democrat who is running as an independent and hoping to pull off an upset.
