Can anyone that knows ASL help me? Is the reason that the letter “X” is shaped like a hook because of pirates who have a hook hand (or hands) like treasure and “X” marks the spot?

One thing I need to learn and work on, this year especially, is how to not be so reactive. Patience is key. I will get through this.
