Woman wearing handmade hat (she made it!) And crocheted ear muffs (I made them for her!). Ear muffs have a flower design. Pattern: Overall, well written pattern. In the round where the petals are made, my count was consistently higher as compared to the pattern. So I ended up with 7 petals, instead of 6. Since it didn't really affect the final product, I went with it. Overall, guage is not entirely crucial, as it's easy to adjust the pattern to make the muff fit tje earuff forms that I had. So, it's easy enough to use fingering (I doubled-the fingering) or worsted. A friend gave me some silicone caulk to add grip to my mittens. It works like a charm! It's not the prettiest application but hella more functional. Adds the right amount of grip, for driving. I probably overdid it but it absolutely solved my problem. Woohoo!
