please please be more passionate about what you like and create. i cannot count how many times i have seen people reflect on old art they made or interests they had and call it "cringe" so they can make fun of themselves and hope that instead of being laughed at, they can laugh with everyone.

I read a lot of ebooks and listen to a lot of audiobooks as a disabled person but also because it’s free and super accessible to read on Libby. If you have a library card and in the U.S. it’s so easy to download Libby and connect it to your library card. 🤎
Seeing people tout reading paper books as the only real reading & dumping on ebooks & I get that it is a kind of pushback against the digital/AI invasion but it's just as ableist to make fun of people who use ebooks as it is audiobooks. Increased access to reading in whatever form is a good thing.

In one week, food aid is going to run out if the federal government is still shutdown. 1 in 10 Americans will not get paid they rely on in November, like SNAP. Please give to local food banks now, if you are able. Look into local groups that are providing meals and things like diapers. This is bad.

My endo is looking into getting me a prescription for an insulin pump and CGM that my insurance will cover (they hate covering those which is why I don’t have a pump) which would mean I can have better control of my blood sugar levels. Fingers crossed I can get one.

I hate that when I was a kid experiencing joint pain the doctors told my parents it was just “growing pains” so as an adult I didn’t realize this pain wasn’t “normal” pain everyone just experienced.
Anyway, the colder weather sucks for me and my joints. Especially when it starts snowing.
