Moore’s proof strikes almost everyone as circular. Yet, Moore appears curiously indifferent to this worry—what gives? My paper, “Moore’s Fourth Condition,” forthcoming in the Journal of the History of Philosophy, draws on unpublished archival evidence to provide some answers. tinyurl.com/2c48txr9

My commentary on Michael Bergmann’s book is now out! I raise some concerns for his intuition-based methodology and somehow manage to connect his view to one of my favorite early analytic texts, Friedrich Waismann’s “How I See Philosophy” (Secs. 1 & 4 of my paper). philpapers.org/go.pl?aid=DO...

Looks like this volume on Mary Hesse edited by Pietro Gori is now published! If you were at #HOPOS in Vienna and went to the various talks and symposium on Hesse, you'll recognize some chapters. I wrote one on Hesse's early work (1952-1961) on scientific language.

A few months ago @nglaskowski.bsky.social posted about philosopher Mary Evelyn Clarke. It seems not much is known about her. So, I did some digging—this PDF is what I’ve found so far (sadly, not much). If you know more, or spot any errors, I’d love to hear from you! www.louisdoulas.info/MEC.pdf
