Salford Red Devils have squeaked into the new #SuperLeague season with a takeover led by an investment bank subject to approval.
Hopefully the start of a very productive new era for the club.

A big day in the #NRL and a big day for #rugbyleague in general.

Had to keep quiet about it but definitely over the moon to have University of Salford as the main shirt sponsor for the Salford Red Devils next year.
This club and the University are so ingrained in the city's community that it made perfect sense to have that partnership expanded.

- Not a lot to be excited by in the opening two rounds
- Saints/Wigan on Good Friday should be on BBC not Sky but I guess that will never happen
- Huddersfield have one of the toughest starts

Leopards will be much-changed next year and probably not ready for a contest at that scale in Round One. Salford v St Helens is a great matchup given how their respective seasons ended!
