"we attend the same concert but experience a different show"

scattered musings from a lifelong obsession

architectural dancing lessons offered, inquire within
social media is weird like finding out that someone you went to elementary school with is connected to the lyricist of your favorite band but you are very sure that person would have no interest in such material so what the heck is that about?

I love artifacts like this...

early practice tape of PHiSH working through Rift era material from their shared abode on 01.14.92.

come for the raw vibe, stay for the over pitched tape making it sound like they are playing from a helium tank

ahh yes, January 94... back when an up and coming guitar god could still go out and play jazz standards with his drummer and couple other top notch players and be completely ignored by a bar room crowd

TIL the current governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healey, was a waitress at Hampton Beach Casino the night Jerry died and Ratdog played that highly cathartic show that so many needed. Wow.

i was lucky enough to spend real time with Bobby, not just passing moments, but actual shared space - it started after he saw a sign language video I made and lit up about it - that tiny exchange felt enormous to me

somewhat randomly came across this album but have been enjoying it very much to the point where I keep coming back to the tracks featuring Jeff Parker and Josh Johnson.

plus 'Speaking in Parallel' is hypnotically meditative.

The universal outpouring of thoughts for Bobby is telling in what his impact on music was and will continue to be.

Musicians and artists from across the spectrum sharing their thoughts is wonderful. Heck even saw a dude from Smashmouth posted about it so you know that reach is broad.

(I did not get mayo this time)
