I'm now trying to picture Christopher Lee hosting Bullseye: "Keep out of the black and in the red..." certainly would have hit differently.

Same. 'Stray Dog' and 'Do the right Thing' spring to mind. I wouldn't last five minutes in those two.

Really enjoyed that, Francis. I was just looking up some stuff about Jung on faith and folklore, which led me to Wiktionary for a quick check on the word 'Pistis' – (faith) – which then led me to discover what it means in Lithuanian. 😳

Sounds like another zone-flood. More hypernormal bedlamism. Shock Corridor.

Brett Ratner? Oh, that's funny. I actually thought this "film" might have some unplanned qualities but it sounds too deadening even for that.

I can well imagine a Cold War story posting some poor sod to an arctic station in Norway, or an RAF listening post in Shetland; for a different kind of psychodrama. LeCarré meets Beckett, if you will.

Ah, the second one is pleasingly Hopper-esque. I studied photography for a year but dropped out 'cos I just couldn't stand the Optics and German classes. I'm lazy.

You don't fold like this when your opponents are scrambling.

Good gang. I also want to see an AI generated and permanently bemused James Mason anchoring the reports and debates with a strained but polite gentility.

For sure. Shelley with a twist of Stephen-King-Americana.

Fie to all of that. His real name was actually Padraig Shakespeare and his people were originally from Crossmolina, Co Mayo.

As another King of the Great Indoors, all I will say is that I would have liked the Spice Girls a whole lot more if they'd had a Scholarly Spice.

I guess I just learned what a claudeswarm is. Every day is another fusillade of acronyms and artless terms of art.

Indeed. The sole enrichment and powdering of the posterior perched behind the resolute desk must ever prevail: another seat pad for his excellency's ample "Domaine Privé".

😄 Any historical disruptors who queried the norm are less of a threat to specious 'traditionalism' once they become fossilised and framed by acanthus leaves.

The new one's a bit closer to the royal arms, what with its fierce menagerie posing around the shield like some bestial boy band.

It's a good thing animals can procreate – because once you've led one generation into the abattoir there'll always be another one bringing up the rear.

They're not the most instructive or representative case study, to say the least. Also (and not to diss the devs) their new game, like all big games these days, is taking an awfully long time. If anything they're another example of how production has just become too onerous.
