The tiniest of mice scurrying through the fallen acer leaves in the garden to feed on spilled bird seed, its long tail sliced off to a blunt end by who knows what 🐭🍁

I opened the door this morning and the sky was blue and the crinodendron was full of chattering sparrows noising up the day and for a beautiful moment it felt as if the world were spinning on its right axis.
