Helixftr is returning to the browser as Helixftr Deluxe! Patrons of either my or Alsnapz's Patreon have early access while work progresses, then it will be free to the public once it is finished. Currently, it only has The Gryphon.

I'm so frustrated about input delay in games. It's just everywhere. I guess most people don't understand what's happening and think something like "I guess I'm just bad at this game," or "This game is hard," when the delay actually makes it super hard to hold a target in sights.

The enemy I created for the original Helixftr, Manatsubi, has been added to Helixftr Deluxe. This guest character belongs to @riorao.bsky.social and has been added with their permission. Manatsubi uses unique struggle mechanics that rely on timing.

From the moment Saccus saw Eul in his suit of heavy ebony and blazing dai-katana and Beraid in his collection of dusty, rusted lizard-scales and spear from Hazadir's shop, he knew who would win. And he was right. "The first blow from the dai-katana lodged in Beraid's soft shield, as there was no metal trim to deflect it. Before Eul could pull his sword back, Beraid let go of the now-flaming shield, still stuck on the sword, and poked at the joints of Eul's ebony armor with his spear. Eul finally retrieved his sword from the ruined shield and slashed at Beraid but his light armor was scaled and angled, and the attacks rolled off into the water, extinguishing the dai-katana's flames. I try not to complain much, but I've been playing Fallout 76 with family for about year now and though I've been having fun...

Bethesda games are an embarrassment to the game industry. They're so clunky and shitty and ugly and if bugs don't cause any major problems, they just... don't fix them.

Reading another artist's post about what vore is to them made me think about my relation to it. For me, while erotic, it's actually not romantic. It's largely about fascination with how a person can also be a place, a container, and an automatic system.

To be honest, I'd love to put some more focus on VR development, but not everyone is able to play that. VR is still fairly niche, right? I don't want to cut off a large portion of people from being able to play what I make.

That said, compromises could be made. It's also just fairly difficult.

In the absence of the original master file and with permission from Alsnapz, I recreated "MalfBackground" in a higher resolution. It's used for Malfaren, Cobalt, and Yesenia.
