London Reproductive Justice (Ontario)

We believe that all people with uteruses have the basic human right to decide when and whether to have children.
Yesterday, we stood strong in community, countering the Life Chain with a small but mighty turnout. Disabled & immunocompromised folks showed up, and we all masked to protect each other. Abortion is healthcare. Community care is essential. We’ll always defend the right to choose.💚✊🏼#LdnOnt

Poverty is not a moral failure. It’s a policy failure.

People living in poverty are often blamed for their reproductive decisions — for having “too many kids,” for seeking abortion, for needing support. 1/2

Reproductive justice isn’t just about the right to choose, it’s about the right to thrive. That means safe housing, liveable income, food security, & healthcare.

If people are forced to parent (or not parent) because they’re poor, that’s not freedom.

No bodily autonomy without economic autonomy.

Still reeling from the Hockey Canada verdict?
It’s another reminder: courts, cops, and institutions protect power — not people.
Reproductive justice demands care for ALL.
Justice must include everyone.

If the Hockey Canada verdict left you gutted, you’re not alone.
Systems protect power, not people.
“Not guilty” ≠ “didn’t happen.”
We believe survivors. We believe you. 🖤

“Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it” (George Santayana).

The fight for abortion rights in Canada began in 1970 with what is known as the Abortion Caravan — a group of feminists travelled across Canada to Ottawa to protest women’s rights to abortion. 1/4
