A small piece of the hellscape known as California. Climbing around on a volcano lightened my soul, so I thought I'd share the view in case you need a lift, too.

I'm sick and couldn't sleep well last night so I put on Seven Samurai. I love that movie so much. I must have watched it at least 50 times... And yet, every time, I still can't help but hope that they all make it out alive.

Do you know how hard it can be for a courier who isn't a strong flier? Luckily there is always tenacity and cuteness!

Back when women were supposed to know their place, the women in my family sure did. Great Grandma V's place was on the back of a horse. As a girl she's seen here with her own grandma, Henrietta, family friend, Tom Reed (Donner Party survivor) and their catch. 🎣 Other man unknown. #womensday

Not art this time, just something on my mind. Over a hundred years ago my grandpa was a rodeo performer. When he grew up, he was a soldier in the thick of WWII. He was one of the best, most decent men I've ever known. I miss him.

Two of my pieces that got adopted during the You Are Here show at E Street Gallery in Sacramento, California. Whenever I sell art, I can't help but imagine its final destination. Someone's wall for the next 30 years? The back of a closet? Post apocalyptic rubble? Bon voyage.

Kasa-obake, the umbrella yokai with one big eye and a crazy tongue. This is the sort of thing I've been up to lately. I'm trying to teach myself digital drawing. I've got a world inside me that I want to bring to life and need to find a compact way to do so. Here I go.

To my fellow #artists,
If you think you can't/don't make a difference please remember that #art makes people *feel* things. Good, bad, upset, disturbed, empowered, inspired, light-hearted, understood... All the feelings. That's power. Keep creating. I believe in you.

Ogama-sama. A literal piece I did for a "puzzle" show/auction.

Still finding my place here.

This is a colored pencil drawing I did of a "catfish" swimming alongside a soul.
