Dear your Royal Holiness President Trump,

Please stop threatening Canada with the tariffs right now because Pierre doesn’t have a good slogan word to rhyme with tariffs.

The summit in London has begun.

European and NATO leaders have gathered to discuss the future of humanity and Ukraine, without the United States. This is the largest reconfiguration of nations since World War 2.

We are Americans.

We’re the most powerful nation on the planet.
What defines us is not our power to dominate the weak.
What demonstrates our character is not our capacity to traumatize the afflicted.
What speaks our truth is not how we taunt, deride or belittle the embattled, broken or battered.

I have an article out at the Canadian Tax Journal on the history of Canadian student aid. I'm pretty proud of it.

There'll be a short version on the blog next week if you're low-bandwidth right now. Tks @trevortombe.bsky.social & @jrobson.bsky.social for making it happen

These are interviews from several individuals from Rainbow Park and other Sarnia encampments.

These are raw, unfiltered responses. So many try to drown out their voices for many reasons.

Listening does take openness and a kind of respect.

Many spoke out for concerted efforts to repress the centralizing habits of ppl without homes who tend to gather in encampments. They did not want to help find solutions. Criminal-responsive solutions are far more costly. sarnianewstoday.ca/sarnia/news/...

There are currently fewer than 10 tents at Rainbow Park, and the overall shelter system is on average between 80 to 90 per cent full.
