@bbclaurak.bsky.social please stop wasting valuable interview time asking questions that you know Starmer cannot answer. He can’t say what he thinks about Trump and you know why he can’t but still you push. So frustrating to watch.

@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social why do you keep inviting Carla Sands onto your show? Is there nobody else you can talk to? Somebody impartial perhaps?!

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

I’ve never watched Lawrence of Arabia. It’s on TV now and holy moly, it’s beautiful. Watching without sound just marvelling at the lighting. Such quality

Happy Winter Solstice to all in the northern hemisphere.

The turn of the year's tide, a pivot-point, a day of hope—when the dark stops rising & after which the Sun begins its slow climb back.
A day I celebrate more than Christmas or New Year.

Fiat lux!

Disagree with @lewisgoodall.com about the plight of the Waspi women. But completely agree about the danger coming from Farage and Musk. Action must be taken now to sort this for all our sakes.

@dansaladino.bsky.social heard your Hugh Corcoran interview. I wanted to like & agree, but he seemed blind to how difficult going out to eat is for many of us, never mind almost demanding that we buy wine too. I get his point but it feels like the hospitality has been lost somewhere. Tricky

🚨Everyone should watch this important film from Liberty

The Governments action this week is “a concerning disregard for the rule of law & goes against recent statements by the Gov’t that they would NOT abuse the use of secondary legislation”

Liberty will be back in court later this week

FFS, tomato purée made using forced labour and torture. Is there nothing that is made on a mass scale that is produced ethically with due regard to people and climate? Currently reading Less by @patrickgrantism.bsky.social and am wondering if I’ll ever buy anything again. Even tomato purée!
