Tricking customers with higher prices at the register is a core strategy of Dollar General & Family Dollar.

Turkey deals can’t hide the bigger problem this Thanksgiving: grocery prices for staples like veggies & ground beef are still surging. The Trump Admin cut tariffs to cool prices—while admitting they do raise costs for consumers. But tariffs aren’t the real story. Greedflation and monopoly power are.
