The polls have closed in seven local byelections. Two were Conservative held: Fenland council's Whittlesey North West ward and Somerset Council's Dunster; two were Labour held: Birmingham City Council, Moseley and Colchester's New Town and Christ Church ward. (1/2)

Polls have just closed in four byelections. Tonight we'll get Ashford's Rolvenden and Tenterden West and @mancitycouncil.bsky.social Woodhouse Park, both Green Party held. Tomorrow, two wards of Highland: Caol and Mallaig (held by Scottish Green Party), and Tain and Easter Ross (held by SNP)
