Ascension Health has finished reviewing the patient data exposed in the May ransomware attack on its hospitals. Types of data involved include medical, financial, insurance and government ID info. Affected patients will be notified by mail.

Ascension said it completed its review of the May attack, which the health system said was caused by an employee who downloaded a "malicious file."

FBI reportedly shoots someone in Gulf Shores
