1st winter Caspian Gull on Hayling today with a very striking tail pattern! Also a few pictures from the last month or so including the Black Brant and adult Little Gull. I have decided to start a blog to utilise my photos and track my birding, so more details there haylingbirding.wordpress.com

The local patch in Northney, Hayling, has been pretty good over the last few weeks with hen harrier twice, merlin, GND and now BTD, cattle egrets daily and the frost has meant golden plover and lapwing have been much more evident! Pretty special place

Nice morning out on the coast with marsh harriers, displaying mergansers, Brent geese and this kingfisher just 10 minutes from the house

After moving to Hayling this weekend I headed to Sandy Point this morning. Redpoll over head and divers and eider offshore, looking forward to birding this place this year
