when i read this post tonight so many images flooded my mind that i bottlenecked. but here are three
tumblr user shalpilot: i love when characters get Married but the “”wedding”” is unofficial at the very least or, ideally, entirely metaphorical . this isn’t the same as looking at two characters and saying “wow they’re married fr” there has to be a dedicated Scene with Imagery. bonus points for if one or more major factor of a standard wedding is absent (rings, kiss, witnesses,) but the Implication is still obvious. instant A if blood is involved in any capacity we all know what this is. fei du is offering luo wenzhou his special coin that was his mom's necklace but he's…he's…he's fucking proposing ok ruan nanzhu telling lin qiushi, "i'll protect you forever. until your life comes to an end, or my life comes to an end." du cheng tells shen yi: "you're my trump card." shen yi looks back at him very seriously bc he knows exactly what this means.
