On my 30th film of #Noirvember, I stopped posting as stuff happened in life and came off social media. Added them all to my letterboxd. It has been great some new and old film Noir's this year, roll on next year.

Noir #6. Never Trust A Gambler. 1951. Loved this. A man convinces his ex wife he is a changed man, only to bring her into his lies and criminal activities #noirvember

Noir #5 of #noirvember Appointment With a Shadow. 1957. My favourite Film Noir is about an alcoholic so I have a soft spot for them. This one was pretty good. Directed by Richard Carlson, starring George Nader and Frank De Kova (who is great in everything I have seen him in).

Noir #4. Shack Out On 101. 1955. Depending how you define Film Noir makes this a noir or not. To me a Film Noir is the impending doom of characters living in the underbelly of society. This was about spies living in regular society but as a spies job is not a regular 9to5 I'd say noir. #noirvember

Noir #3. Mysterious Inteuder. 1946. Stars Richard Dix. Didn't know this was part of 'The Whistler' series, wondering why the narrators voice was different from any of the cast. After doing research this is the fifth film. I enjoyed it. I think this is the third whistler film I have seen. #noirvember

Noir #2. Short Cut To Hell. 1957. Love James Cagney. (I liked the introduction even though it wasn't required but the producers putting Cagney on screen and behind the camera helped boost the film with a small budget and fairly new cast) a good effort as a remake for This Gun For Hire. #Noirvember

Here's to you, my first post and to #Noirvember, kid. I'm hoping it's got an audience on here as I no longer use the other platform. I hope @oldfilmsflicker.bsky.social is still posting about Film Noir. Noir #1 of 2025. Shield of Murder, 1954. A good noir, starring and directed by Edmund O'Brien.
