I wrote 517 words last night and they were GOOD. I'm trying to have a no zero days approach where even writing a sentence is considered progress, and I surprised myself with a couple solid paragraphs! Hoping to go 2 for 2 today.

Managed to complete 2 out of 3 moderately pain in the ass house projects last month, so now I get to focus the rest of my 2025 energy on writing, holiday fun, and a digital declutter of my phone/computer :)

10 years ago, before my husband and I were, as the kids said at the time, Facebook official, we took our first vacation together to Seattle. A trip I'd originally planned for myself, months before, but one he asked to join me on (the DAY before I flew out) because he said he'd miss me too much.

In an effort to keep from going completely insane at the state of the country, I'm going to try to stay off my phone as much as possible this weekend. Reading, long walks with the dogs, some house projects, and baking ahead :)

Living in the US means increasingly feeling like you're going insane because everyone around you keeps gaslighting you. My hometown mayor refused to fly flags at half-staff, and people in the comments are ENRAGED, saying the state is full of commies, that it's disrespectful to the president, etc.
