Pop!_OS 24.04 also has images for ARM.
You can test it with ARM systems with UEFI.
I'm able to boot it on the Libre Computer Alta ARM SBC. It feels a bit sluggish and I think it needs some more optimisation.
I hope it will be better in 2026.

I already played Prince of Persia on RISC-V with the Batocera image for the VisionFive 2. If you want to play it on other RISC-V boards, you can build it from source.

Testing WebGPU on a SBC, the Radxa Dragon Q6A. It's not very fast, but it only needs around 10W total. It's good enough to start testing WebGPU.

You can use EDuke 32 to play it. I got the shareware game files from the Internet Archive. If you bought the game before, get the game files from there.

Testing Stable-Diffusion.cpp with Vulkan on an AMD RX550. It's not really stable on my machine (ARM Phytium D2000).
Sometimes it crashes, sometimes the generation steps take 38s, and sometimes 10s.
But at least I know it is possible.

Doing a quick test of the Doogee U12 Android 16 tablet. I was a bit disappointed YouTube only goes up to 720p60. Local videos don't have that limitation, but 4K is a bit too much for this budget tablet.
Don't expect to play the latest and greatest 3D games, but Asphalt is fine.

This games is more than 20 years old! The game will benefit from good OpenGL support.

Booting openSUSE on a Raspberry Pi 5. They are still working on fully enabling the Pi 5, but I think it's usable as a server. 3D acceleration is still WIP, but you can start a desktop session. And you can use YaST for administrative tasks, so you don't have to use a terminal.

I found a post on Reddit that someone is working on a fork of llama.cpp to run GGUF models on the NPU of the Rockchip RK3588. It still uses a lot of CPU, but any help from the NPU is a bonus.

I had an issue with building the Armbian image based on Ubuntu 25.10 (Questing Quokka). I had to remove the package nautilus-extension-gnome-terminal from the build script.
There was also an issue with the Snap Daemon, but a reinstall fixed that: sudo apt reinstall snapd

Testing Fedora 42 on the RISC-V SBC Muse Pi Pro with the SpacemiT K1 SoC. It's not a mainline image, but a Fedora image from the Fedora-V Force team.
It's not ready for general use, as I ran into a couple of issues. And perhaps it will work better with a discrete GPU.

Unfortunately sound isn't working with the current Fedora 42 image for the Radxa Dragon Q6A Qualcomm Snapdragon SBC.
The Vulkan driver is working better than in Ubuntu 24.04. Blender 4.5 is working with Vulkan and I was able to build 0.A.D.
The Arch image wasn't working btw.
