Last respiratory virus season 278 children in the US died of influenza, more than any year since 2009.

The majority were previously healthy, but 90% had *not* received a flu vaccine.

Incredibly upsetting and infuriating

Our biomedical enterprise is being absolutely tanked by this administration
In a major blow to scientists who had NIH grants terminated by the Trump administration, the U.S. Supreme Court has told the government it can refuse to restore $783 million in federal research funding. https://scim.ag/45R0QWZ

Did I miss a major NIH announcement? I was working on an R01 for a NOSI and just got word it will expire early Sept 2025 when the original expiration date was Sept 2027. I just checked funding opportunities and it looks like most (if not all) active NOSIs are set to expire this fall?

I am trying to get a clean copy.

These "Priorities" will likely be "Agency Priorities" for grant funding and termination.
