We greatly enjoyed attending the West Dorset Careers Fair on Wednesday 22nd October 2025. We talked to around 100 students across 4 schools (The Sir John Colfox Academy, Woodroffe School, Mountjoy School, and Beaminster School) about the wide range of environmental career paths available to them.

It is vital for the financial stability of Little Green Change to work with environmentally conscious companies & funding bodies, who are vital in allowing us to continue & extend our important environmental work across schools & communities, but we are not willing to participate in green washing.

Our recent Little Green Change kids' Halloween clothes swap event at Bridport Library was a huge success. In just 3 hours, we had 22 children aged 1-10 years across 18 families that benefitted by taking preloved items. Thanks to our event funder Bridport Town Council.

Our Climate Resilient Schools Project provides a free site visit, climate change assembly, child-friendly school audit, & climate change action support enabling ground improvements for state-funded schools in west Dorset, thanks to funding from Dorset Council.

Earlier in the year, we noticed wasps making a nest in one of our garden shrubs. The season is over now, so they've vacated it. We are now using it to educate the kids we work with about how it was made using chewed and shredded wood, which they mix with saliva to create a papier mache-like material

We had a great time at Ideas Fest yesterday celebrating exciting new businesses like Little Green Change, & our 2025 South West UK StartUp Award for Green StartUp of the Year. It was wonderful one of our corporate supporters, For People and Places, was able to attend with us, too.

We were delighted to be a part of Chickerell Town Council's recent community engagement event. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 🌱🐝 Events like this are a great way of engaging children & young people, & encouraging them to support nature including important pollinators like bees, butterflies, moths & beetles.
