I assumed journalists started their careers saying i will be a fearless pursuer of truth. Or was it i want a cushy number spreading the lies of rich people that they aspired to?

Do any Labour politicians realise they only got elected cos the alternative was as popular as dog shite? And now they are less popular- lose Starmer, Streeting Nandy etc or lose your seats.

Is it my imagination but are the Labour apologists and enthusiasts getting less vocal on here? Would a change of leadership re-invigorate them?

State pension is not a gift to old people- they pre paid for it! Is it too much - well not compared to other developed countries; it is poor.

One family has multiple castles, estates & mansions with servants whilst millions are homeless & hungry. In a democracy tell me why this still exists as it is ludicrous to me

If you or i called someone by a racial slur we would be charged but some politicians are inciting racial hatred and nothing is done. People are being attacked. What will it take before Labour acts? Someone being killed?

Is it a sign how low some of our political parties have fallen that they are suggesting deporting people who have been legally settled here for years? Not only does it breach the often quoted can’t legislate retrospectively, it is so depraved i feel ashamed to be British?

I would like a good answer to this question. Instead of demonising immigrants why doesn’t Labour introduce PR and get a fair voting system?
Starmer could decide to introduce the PR electoral system as soon as tomorrow (would easily pass through the Commons) and kill the "reform" for good.
He's not gonna do that, obviously.

When South Africa had apartheid the world,including UK, boycotted them in sport. So is what is happening in Gaza less bad? If not, why is Starmer not boycotting Israel sport but instead supporting it?

The battle to save the high st is as lost as the war on drugs imo. Economies change and the need for as many shops selling items (as opposed to services) has diminished as did horse drawn carriages. So turn them into homes for which there is huge demand

Talking of Reform politician taking bribes from a hostile nation when are we going to see the Russia report? What is in it that is so bad? Will Greens publish it as no other party has? i cant see ReFO being keen

Zack Polanski is certainly shaking things up and calling things out. I don’t agree with all Green’s policies but I applaud the passion and apparent frankness

I can see why places like Cambridge are growing but what hope for Clacton cos despite the best efforts of its hard working MP i cannot envisage what new employment opportunities could be created there

Ultra rich have their money where? In property yes and cant move that. In stocks & shares - if they sell those they remain here. In tax havens - yes but that money isnt here so we dont lose it. So what can they take away?

I deplore this talk of deporting people. I can see the argument for controlling immigration but to think of deporting those long settled here is inhuman, unjust, irreligious and appalling.

I wonder if gov don’t go after Farage & RW media very hard now cos they know he has a lot of history they can use against him at election time? Other RW proponents will pop up to lead but might not be as attackable?
