the setup… Detective Josie Quinn is spending quality time with her family and friends when her colleague, Detective Finn Mettner, shows up asking for her help. He fears Amber Watts, their press liaison and his girlfriend, is missing and Finn only wants Josie’s help for now. After checking out Amber’s house, it’s clear she’s not there though all of her belongings are. Josie finds a cryptic message on her car’s windshield that leads them to Russell Haven dam. When they arrive they see a red-haired woman lying between boulders, clearly in distress but alive and about to be washed away by released water from the dam.

the setup… Detective Josie Quinn and the team are called to a high school prom where the body of a young girl is found. She’s dressed for the occasion except for the stab wound. But, she’s not a student and though she looks familiar, they can’t identify her. A few days later, they find another young girl of similar age posed in a church pew with similarities in her wound and other patterns. Before the team gets into the investigation, Police Chief Bob Chitwood intervenes and links the two to a cold case from many years ago that’s personal.
