I ink on paper, so the majority of the line shading was done by hand. But partway through I realised it was a bit too much effort for nearly 90 illustrations, so I made a few custom brushes to help with parts of it. A stupid amount was still done by hand though.

The book has been released, so here's a few illustrations I did for Jo Salmson's children's fantasy book 'Det stulna guldägget'. I had a lot of fun with the dragon designs in this. #art #kidlit

The landlord of my neighbourhood hires people to handle most of the plowing here but not all, so a bunch of neighbours have gotten together to shovel the rest by hand, since a lot of the people who live here are elderly who can't do it on their own.

I just love seeing people coming together

Some douchebag made a post in a local fb group complaining that the snow plowers were taking too long and I was very happy to see him getting blasted in the comments. We've gotten a crazy amount of snow in the past 48 hours, in two doses, so plowers have been out working around the clock.

I was supposed to go back to the office this week, but with the weather all buses are cancelled, so I'm not going anywhere. Bit bummed about it.

We got a little bit of snow

It doesn't help that the condition that ended up killing one of our cats 8 yeard ago started out as a stomach sickness that didn't get better. I spent all weekend panic-googling every last thing that could affect a dog's stomach.
January 7, 2026 at 12:28 PM
He's FINALLY better now, but god I am exhausted. First having to stay up multiple nights because he had to go every other hour, then me freaking out because he wasn't getting better and all I could do was wait for news from the vet.

Last week Mattis ended up with some stomach bug that caused acute diarrhea that didn't get better with home care, so he had to stay at the veterinary hospital over the weekend. That, plus the stress surrounding new years, I'm kinda shocked it didn't trigger his epilepsy into another seizure.
January 7, 2026 at 12:22 PM
They've done this multiple times over the past few days, in spite of people telling them off and in spite of there being large open fields right next to our neighbourhood where they could go instead. Mattis is a nervous mess and I can only hope this doesn't lead to a seizure.

I'm honestly so goddamn pissed right now. My dog's audiophobia has been getting a lot better in the past few years, to the point that he can ignore most isolated banging noises. But then some dumbass teenagers decide to set off fireworks *right next to our building* and now we're back to square one.

Also having to explain to people who regularly works with print products in indesign what embedded ppi vs actual ppi means 😫 what do you meeeaaan you never looked there?
December 22, 2025 at 2:28 PM
Omg I keep having to explain this even to people in my industry (graphic design/advertisement). The embedded dpi doesn't matter unless you're sending the image file directly to print with no other information. It's just a reference. Pixels is what matters.

Oh man, in swedish it's called toast-bread regardless of what kind of bread it is, so long as it has the right shape. It never registered to me that english doesn't do that.

I've currently reached the point of "if it's not harmful or very expensive and has the slightest suggestion of possibly helping his situation, I might as well"
December 16, 2025 at 10:51 AM
His situation has stabilized, with 40+ days without a seizure (knock on wood), but man, this really has been a lesson on how easy it is for people offering "alternative medicine" to prey on people who feel like they're out of options.

Me a year ago: there are some dietary choises that can be linked to changes in epilepsy in humans, but it's not for certain and the studies on the effect in dogs are even more lacking.

Me, when my dog's epilepsy appear to be medication resistant: fuck it, let's try all the supplements.

"Oh but what if they want to make it a cautionary tale" except that NEVER WORKS. Because the kind of man who needs to heed that caution finds self-destruction to be aspirational.

Oh great, they're going to give the misogynistic villain a sympathetic backstory, aren't they. What could possibly go wrong with that, in today's climate.
I do not want Gaston backstory, I do not need Gaston backstory, I reject Gaston backstory
