after over a decade working in corporate IT, I’ve learned to always buffer your estimates. take whatever time you think it would take to do something and multiply that x3 before telling someone you will be able to get it done. and that number will be the minimum side of the range you give ‘em.

never thought about it but I do this all the time. my night stand is a mountain of books to digest 😅 might pick up from the middle of a book I started 3 years ago.
I could check the time and see I have 10 mins before I gotta go, and then catch up sending out texts and being social. look back at the time and I’m already 10 mins late.
