Well, 2025 is about done and dusted and despite quite a few fun distractions along with a healthy dose of globetrotting this year, I managed to complete some models here and there that I was pleased with:
So I had a lot of fun with this lil’ project..really simple koncept of course, because the original car was just so perfect to be made into a Gaslands racer. Fellow Blueskyers, I present the initial offering of the Squigga Rampante, the Skudaria FerrarOrk:

So, as the Ork legend goes, there was a renowned Ork Blitza Bommer pilot named Francesco BaOrka. His friendship with another legendary Mek Boy/ Speed Freek Ork led to creation of a racing team famous for the iconic Squigga Rampante and, of course…the striking skarlett of Skudaria FerrarOrk. 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

OK so I can’t help but see it as a mandate from the hobby gods that this terrific lil’ Ork driver from @ramshacklegames.bsky.social just so happens to fit PERFECTLY into the cockpit of this chassis that is about to become a Gaslands performance car.

Iconic #StarTrek image.

As I near the end of my 6th decade on this planet, I think my most significant observation from all that time is :

“There’s really nothing wrong with being an idiot, it’s just when you add ‘arrogant’ to the mix, is when you start to have issues”
February 3, 2026 at 12:18 AM
OK so once I made one Gaslands car this weekend, that led to another idea….here is a new kab for the Orks that will work with parts from the Waaagh Rig. I had this victim trophy rack around forever looking for a great way to use it…so the Orks present the perfect use kase. Magnet mounts of course
February 2, 2026 at 3:19 AM
I added some lil’ spacers to create more clearance for the big wheels (and keeps the “too thin” axle pins from being visible) on the Gaslands FerrarOrk.
February 1, 2026 at 9:40 PM
OK here is the Ork’d up vintage Ferrari ready for paint.
February 1, 2026 at 9:03 PM
OK, so I primed 4 more Space Gits, but seeing as @drmonkeyface.bsky.social inspired me to do some Gaslands stuff, here’s a Gaslands Ork who will be driving the vintage Ferrarork which is spending the night in “The Dip” for assembly and painting tommorow.
February 1, 2026 at 8:13 AM
So while I was painting Grots, evidently some Imperials decided to encroach on the Gits’ display shelf….the Gits are about to see about that…
February 1, 2026 at 4:44 AM
….and I realized that I had a few jet exhausts in inventory, so Rokkit Git doesn’t have to wait for his sooty exhaust plumes…
February 1, 2026 at 3:44 AM
So here are the first two Grots for Space Gits. Like all of these Kromlech models, they are loaded with personality and thus fun to paint.
February 1, 2026 at 3:42 AM
This is really nice. For me, when I see a work that reminds me of Frazetta, that’s really something.
New work!! Any kinds of environments scare me, but I always end up enjoying them in the end :D

And the last (and most drunken….this guy has to the best face of the bunch so far) of the first batch of Space Gits:
January 30, 2026 at 4:57 AM
Space Git #3: this guy insisted that he be converted a bit so he could have a JettPakk. He probably will get some black and sooty exhaust plumes at some point the next time I order from Deadly Print Studios, who make some nice ones.
January 30, 2026 at 4:55 AM
Here is Space Git #2, the first of the Chef’s Gang. I didn’t know that Bacardi no longer sells 151, but it seemed like an appropriate bottle for these dudes to have readily at hand.
January 30, 2026 at 4:53 AM
These Space Gits models (Kromlech miniatures mostly with a few GW bits here and there) are really fun to put paint on. Here’s the first one:
January 30, 2026 at 4:50 AM
OK so here are our first four Space Gits for @planetsmashergames.bsky.social s fun new game of the same name.
January 30, 2026 at 4:47 AM
I honestly can’t imagine why anyone would play any 40k faction other than Orks….they are simply too much fun. This dude will on a flying stand or perhaps about to snag on some urban clutter …
January 28, 2026 at 7:55 AM
This weekend we found ourselves in Lichfield, which has always struck me as an odd name for a place.
January 27, 2026 at 4:20 AM
So here are 21 bases for the Drunken Orks of the Space Gits universe to stagger around on. Now to finish 21 space Gits…🏁😄
January 27, 2026 at 3:29 AM
So far 2026 is all @planetsmashergames.bsky.social on the paint desk. After a bunch of Gaslands stuff, now it’s on to Space Gits. Really clever models from Kromlech miniatures (I used a few GW heads & bits here & there). I’m doing them all in Premier League jersey colors, for EZ ID on the table.
January 25, 2026 at 9:38 AM
Family Christmas gift ready to go: a gloriously empty new display cabinet!
January 22, 2026 at 6:44 AM
From our game yesterday….drone shot of Sweet Tooth barreling across the wasteland to attack Da Waaagh Rig:
January 20, 2026 at 7:31 PM
The Waaaagh Rig is being piloted by a drunken Ork (me) so it’s not doing well thus far, but it’s looking good doing it.
