Fantastic presentation from one of our Froebel in Childhood Practice students. Thank you for sharing you work. #Froebel
Tonight I had the privilege of listening to Mrs Heggie who had been asked to present her Froebel project - Nurture with Nature Growing the seeds of Love. So incredibly proud of all Mrs Heggie’s hard work and passion to encourage our children in their gardening projects! ⭐️ @falkirkfroebel.bsky.social

A wonderful demonstration of the ways children incorporate their experiences in their play. These are children who know the story well, they have heard it many times and they are using what they know to re-tell the story. So many important skills being developed here #Froebel #ELCBeingMe
Some children have been showing an interest in building houses. We have been reading the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’. Some of the children have been recreating the story using block play. Encouraging creativity, problem solving and language skills whilst storytelling. 💛 @falkirkfroebel.bsky.social

Self-evaluation and reflection can happen in many different ways. It can also happen individually or as part of a group. Critically reflective practice is important to ensure we are always getting it right for children. #BeingMe #Section7RtA

A really helpful article from @helwasmuth.bsky.social discussing a new translation of a letter from #Froebel with comments on the spherical law and the purpose of early childhood education. As always with Froebel, not an easy read, but for those interested in his writing, very illuminating.
My new #Froebel article is out!
It was fun (mostly) to translate huge parts of his letter to Leidesdorf, especially his comments on the spherical law. It's one of the most concise and easy-to-understand descriptions of the law. Let me know what you think!
