Big thanks to @edsouthall.bsky.social for joining our mathematics team meeting today to share all things @oaknational.bsky.social Great to reflect on the thinking behind the mathematics resources many of our trainees are using — and to geek out on some maths! #MathsEducation #TeacherTraining

Back from holiday and straight into Term 1 observations with our Year 1 maths trainees. It’s fab seeing them bring research-informed ideas to life, reflecting, refining, and finding their classroom presence. I love geeking out on great maths teaching and watching them grow 💪 🧮

Hello mathematics educators! Does anyone have a copy of this textbook laying around in a dusty maths cupboard unused that I may make a donation for and make use of? Supporting a family member & this is the book they’re using. Thanks!

Perimenopause has me waking up at around 4/4:30 every morning, unable to get back to sleep. I’ve decided to stop fighting it by going to bed earlier & hitting the gym when I wake up. #EmbraceTheChaos

Sundays are skate days. However, we don’t have heating or hot water currently as the boiler melted, so I won’t be enjoying a long soak in a hot bubble bath after training today 😅🥶

Anyone else cross stitch? This is my latest project. It’s taking a while, and don’t look too closely, there are errors! If you know the pattern we should be friends!

How do people track/logs the books they read? I’ve downloaded Goodreads, started making my way though and adding the physical books I’ve read, this year only, or it’d be too big a job.

I was working with a group of teachers from multiple schools last week: HALF of them are required to use Verbal Feedback stamps or write VF in books when supporting pupils in class.

Is this the norm?!

Seems like this message from the EEF feedback report is still not impacting on school policies…

Be honest, does anyone have their Christmas decorations up yet?

We always decorate on the 1st, but this year I am in Egypt 1st - 12th, appropriate to decorate on November 30th?
