Too funny, not funny, so sad, and disgusting all at once.

A “Wardrobe Guide for Your Age” read like an 1,000-word recipe for boiling water. After paragraphs of patronizing minimalism, the big takeaway was a bust.

Let me break it down for you. I promise you’ll laugh.

The Totally Worthless Guide to Dressing After 65 - Linda K Sienkiewicz
A so-called “minimalist fashion after 65” wardrobe guide full of strange examples ended with “just wear what’s comfortable.” Not helpful.

It’s supposed to be 54 degrees in Michigan today… at 10:00 PM!

6 hours later, at 6:00 AM, it’ll be 29 degrees!

“Please stop saying they ‘deported’ a US-born citizen. You can’t deport someone who never ported. The forced removal of a born citizen from their own country based on appearance or ancestry is not deportation. It is ethnic cleansing. “

DJT is apparently fuming that the Epstein files continue to plague the WH.

Well, the drip-drip-drip release of files—which ultimately keeps the issue in the news—is the fault of his administration.

I have a MAGA second cousin on Facebook with truly vile posts, calling for murder, killing, etc. etc. I can’t even share them. Horrible violent stuff.

I report his posts through Facebook and get crickets.

12YO girl signed up to do “stand up comedy” at the talent show. 13YO boy decided to heckle her. Teacher started to tell the boy to leave her alone, but the 12YO comedian said “no, no, let him go, this is the closest he’s ever going to get to having a conversation with a girl.”
What's an insult you'll never forget?

The prose poem is a wonderful form that invites experimentation. In a workshop, I turned my mother and father into televisions and created a poem about childhood myths and family secrets. Try the writing prompt yourself and see what you come up with.

Elmore Leonard once said writers should “leave out the part that readers tend to skip.” He used the word hooptedoodle to describe showy, self-important writing that draws attention to itself instead of serving the story.

Don’t hate me but there’s too much hooptedoodle in ANXIOUS PEOPLE.
